New report by Pablo Feu on purchase restrictions of residential properties for use as the purchaser’s own home
A study commissioned by the Barcelona Metropolitan Strategic Plan (PEMB) and prepared by lawyer Pablo Feu, associate professor at the University of Barcelona and member of the Barcelona Chair of Housing Studies, concludes that it would be legally feasible to limit the purchase of homes when they are not intended as the buyer’s primary residence, provided that this measure is applied in areas declared to be under pressure in the residential market, on an exceptional, territorial and temporary basis.
