Impact of housing research conducted at UPC
UPC housing research under discussion at a conference at ETSAB
The co-director Dr. David Hernández Falagán of the Barcelona Chair of Housing Studies and professor at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya co-organises a session to highlight the transformative potential of research in architecture and urban planning
The Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) will host a conference on 29 September dedicated to the impact of housing research developed at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. The event, which will take place in person from 13:00 to 15:00, aims to showcase the capacity of knowledge generated from architecture, urban and territorial studies to transform housing realities.
The session is structured around four main themes: climate vulnerability of housing, the “Regenerar Barcelona” prototype, the relationship between habitat and climate risk with post-disaster recovery, and the analysis of current housing policy in Spain. The programme features the participation of prominent UPC researchers, including Inés Aquilué Junyent, Blanca Arellano Ramos, Helena Coch Roura, David Hernández Falagán (co-director of the Chair), Pere Joan Ravetllat Mira, Josep Roca Cladera, and Roger Sauquet Llonch.
The conference is part of the Chair’s commitment to knowledge transfer and interdisciplinarity, connecting university research with the social challenges of housing. Registration is open until the start of the programme or until places are filled.
